And I Will Use This iTouch For?

I have wanted an iTouch or iPhone ever since I learned that Kate Spade made cases for them. Mmmmm Kate Spade. But, really, I can't think of any other reason why I would need one.

My husband recently got an apple laptop and the apple store threw in a free iTouch. Which he gave to me. I have absolutely no idea what to do with it. I take my shuffle running, and if I am going to take the time to watch a show, I probably don't want to do it in miniature. I have a perfectly good full size t.v. on which to watch The City and Mad Men.

My son has an iTouch and he has the iClean Dog Licking Screen app. I have no doubt that such app could fill up countless hours at work. But seriously, I suspect that there might by other things to do with it.

Please please tell me now, is there something I should know?

  1. I just keep mine in my purse or school bag and whip it out whenever I have some unexpected down time. Also, when I had my crippling facebook addiction, it was pretty neat to have on hand . . . well for that and Bejeweled Blitz.

  2. I just got one too. I added Words with Friends, and tried to play a few games before I remembered that I don't know how to play Scrabble and I'm a Jeopardy! girl, not a Wheel one. I'm also afraid to buy an app that I won't like, so I only have free ones at the moment. Not sure what to do with it, other than when I get a dock for the house it'll be nice to have.

  3. I have an iPhone and I'm just going to admit right now that I'm obsessed with it. OBSESSED. There's a goddamn application for everything. I especially like Shazam, which recognizes songs on the radio and then identifies them and gives you a link to iTunes to buy them.

Since I've had it, I've spent over $250 for music on my phone ALONE.

Apparently, on the new iPhone, you'll be able to stream Netflix movies, which is not optimal for home, but on the go? Awesome.

I hate all those apple people, but I have to think I may be turning into one of them.

  4. I use mine for checking emails etc when I am out and about - lots of places have free wifi!

When I know I have a long train ride or will have to wait hours for the dr or something I load tv eps on it so I can keep myself entertained.

It it also great for locating places - there are lots of apps for gas stations, starbucks, food, etc etc...even bathrooms!

  6. I love mine, but I only have it because I was forced to with BarBri and all I really do on it is watch lectures. I like being able to buy songs straight from it and using iCal... otherwise I've HEARD there's tons of fun to be had with it, just don't know what they are.

  7. I have an iPhone and can't live without. Have everything on there - calendar, email, etc. And I spend way too much time playing Sudoku.
And it keeps the boy entertained for hours. I just don't understand the obsession he has for the gun appls. He spends way too much time "shooting" everything in sight.

  8. Obsessed with my iPhone? Who me? Yeah me. Seriously, try Angry Birds (there is a free version). Addicted. And maybe this is the time to tell you I also own an iPad. Don't get me started (but Angry Birds, seriously).
